Kathy Akins - Owner
Kathy was born and raised in Winder, GA with her parents Ambrose and Beverly Jackson and her sister Cindy. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS in Education. Kathy taught third grade in public school and Pre-k 4 in a private school. In her free time she enjoys reading, shopping and spending time at the beach with her family and friends.
Kawana Williamson - Director
Kawana has been employed with Legacy Academy since 2000 and joined the Legacy Academy Athens team for their opening in February 2006. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education. Her hobbies and interests include shopping, drawing, camping and spending quality time with her husband and three sons.
Shannon Johnson - Curriculum Coordinator
Shannon has been employed with Legacy Academy Athens since February 2006. She has worked in early care and education for nine years and has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. She has two children, D'shun and Shandavia. Shannon enjoys reading, relaxing and spending time with close friends and family.
Beth Pressley - Administrative Assistant
Beth moved to Watkinsville, GA in December 2004. She has been married for 20 years and has four daughters, Morgan, Madelyn, Macey, and Meribeth. She has worked with children in her home and church for over fifteen years. She is currently pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education. Her favorite foods are Mexican and Italian. She enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her family.
