Legacy Berkeley Lake Activities
Spanish: Uno, dos, tres Spanish for Little Friends with Nena Alarcon-Salinas. Every Thursday morning Ms. Nena spends time with each class learning all about Spanish. This activity is included as part of your child's tuition. Brain research shows us that the early years are the child's best years to learn a second language and Ms. Nena uses many fun, exciting ways to help your child learn!
Chinese classes are also a part of the weekly curriculum at Berkeley Lake. She works with Panda Learning Chinese for Kids. Ms. Han holds degrees in both English Language Arts and Early Childhood Education from both China and the United States. Teaching is her passion and we are so happy to have her! Ms. Jenna's learning environment is based on the children's interest and students ages three and up spend time with Ms. Jenna Han every week learning songs, rhymes, vocabulary, and Chinese culture.
Dance: Creative Movement and Dance each and every Tuesday. This class is divided with 20 minutes of tap and 25 minutes of ballet. Since ballet is the basis for all dance technique, the combination of both work hand in hand. The technical training is taught through ballet; which in turn helps teach the proper shifting of weight and patterns in movement for tap.
Playball: Sport Movement and Development Specialists each and every Monday. A unique sport program where your child is introduced to up to 7 different sports. Playball creates a structured environment whereby children in different age groups are exposed to a variety of sport and movement skills, with the focus on small groups in order to provide special attention to each individual. Some of the benefits of Playball include brain development, preparation for life, improving functionality, preparation for sport participation and reinforcing education.
