Juan & Denise Tobon
Juan Tobon has 14 years of experience in the IT industry. He is the Intel District Sales and Marketing Manager for the Miami market and 14 countries of the Latin American Region. His responsibilities range from managing a team of 45 employees to helping distributors bring the correct line up of products and generating the necessary demand among customers. Juan manages the daily business decisions for the territory including arbitrating allocations, account coverage issues, and integrating different company operations within the district. He also has to create awareness within the local governments of the importance of giving opportunities to the local companies and the use of new technology. Juan is a graduate of Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana from Medellin, Colombia with a degree in Electrical Engineering. His many achievements at Intel have led him to be a recipient of the Top Achievers prize two years in a row. He has been featured on many international industry publications such as PC Magazine, Compuchannel, and Canales. Juan is very excited to start his new business venture with Legacy Academy.
Denise has recently been a self employed stay at home mom in the South Florida area. Before raising her family she graduated from the Florida International University with a degree in Psychology. She went on to pursue her career as a Substance Abuse and HIV counselor at the Miami Behavioral Health Center. She was in charge of diagnosing, creating individualized treatment plans, providing group and individual therapy as well as pre and post HIV testing and counseling for a diverse population in the Little Havana area. At the same time she was overseeing operations at JDT Enterprises, a small family business. As a natural multi tasker she went on to pursue different interests and went in to make-up artistry. She was previously an independent Avon representative. Within one year of launching her Avon business she achieved Presidents Club Status, Unit Leader and was the First Hispanic Certified Beauty Advisor Trainer in the state of Florida. She is currently featured in the first ever Avon Representative commercial that airs nationwide. While raising her two young children in South Florida she increasingly became interested in early childhood education and is very excited to pursue the opening of her own Legacy Academy for Children in Norcross, GA in the fall of 2008.
