Mark & Jan Gifford - On-site Owners
Mark Gifford is the Owner of Legacy Academy Centerville and co-owner of Legacy Academy Sugarloaf. He is a native of Michigan and relocated to Georgia in 2002 to open and operate Legacy Academy Sugarloaf located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He first took an interest in childcare when his business partner of Legacy Academy Sugarloaf, Tim Paulus, suggested an opportunity to franchise an early care and education facility in Georgia.
Mark has six plus years of experience as a financial analyst in a small business environment. He is a graduate of Walsh College in Troy, Michigan, and earned his MBA from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Since his first Legacy venture, Mark currently brings six plus years in direct early care and education ownership and management.
Jan Gifford is the Owner & Curriculum Coordinator of Legacy Academy Centerville. She is a native of Georgia and brings multiple years of early care and education experience to Legacy Academy Centerville. She also currently holds her food serve safe certificate and culinary degree. She is instrumental in the day to day planning of the menus for Legacy Academy Centerville. Jan looks forward to some downtime so that she can earn her CDA credential in early care and education.
Demeris Collins - Director
Demeris Collins is the Director for Legacy Academy Centerville. She was born and raised in Newnan, Georgia. She earned her Associates Degree in Marketing Management and will continue her education as she seeks her CDA and Director's Credential. Demeris has been in early care and education since 2000 and worked within classrooms of all ages.
Demeris is committed to providing the highest level of quality for parents and children at Legacy Academy Centerville. Demeris and her husband, Bobby, live in Snellville, Georgia and are raising their four beautiful children. In her free time, she enjoys resting, singing with her children, shopping and spending time with her extended family and friends.
Danielle Dennis - Assistant Director
Danielle Dennis is new to the Legacy Academy Centerville management team. She was born in West Palm Beach, FL and raised in Atlanta, GA. She is currently earning her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and her CDA. Danielle has been in early care since 2001 and has worked with all ages.
Danielle is passionate about her job and working with young children. In her free time, she enjoys reading and shopping with friends.
