Jan & Mark Gifford
Mark Gifford is the Director & Owner of Legacy Academy Centerville and co-owner of Legacy Academy Sugarloaf. He is a native of Michigan and relocated to Georgia in 2002 to open and operate Legacy Academy Sugarloaf located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He first took an interest in childcare when his business partner of Legacy Academy Sugarloaf, Tim Paulus, suggested an opportunity to franchise an early care and education facility in Georgia.
Mark has six plus years of experience as a financial analyst in a small business environment. He is a graduate of Walsh College in Troy, Michigan, and earned his MBA from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Since his first Legacy venture, Mark currently brings six plus years in direct early care and education ownership and management.
Jan Gifford is the Owner & Curriculum Coordinator of Legacy Academy Centerville. She is a native of Georgia and brings multiple years of early care and education experience to Legacy Academy Centerville. She also currently holds her food serve safe certificate and culinary degree. She is instrumental in the day to day planning of the menus for Legacy Academy Centerville. Jan looks forward to some downtime so that she can earn her CDA credential in early care and education.
Jan and Mark have a lovely daughter named Kayla. Jan enjoys spending time with her family, going to movies and working with diverse groups of people.
