Legacy Academy of Franklin was started in Kelli's and her husband, Robert, hearts in February of 2000 with a desire to bring high quality educational child care to Franklin. Being the parents of 3 busy children had made community an important factor in our lives. Williamson County was the right community but there did not seem to be adequate educational child care programs in the area. We found the Legacy Academy Franchise and Frank and Melissa Turner in North Georgia and knew they were of the same mind and heart for children.
After much work, tears, laughter, and prayer, Legacy Academy of Franklin opened in January of 2002. Since then, the school has continued to develop a relationship with the community and the families there as a place of love and learning. We are blessed to know each child and their families. We had hoped to make a difference in their lives but we never expected the wonderful way they would affect our lives.
Ashley Yates - Assistant Director, employed since January, 2002
Ashley Yates, Assistant Director, started with Legacy Academy the first day our doors were open in January, 2002. She taught in our two's class and created an incredible learning environment for these children each day. Ashley moved into the role of Assistant Director in August of 2006, where she mentors and works with the staff to bring the highest level of early care and education to our center. She is currently pursuing her associate degree in early childhood and attends multiple trainings to keep her up-to-date in the preschool setting. Ashley enjoys outdoor sports with her husband and spending time with their two young daughters.
