Hector De Sousa
Owner
Hector is from Caracas Venezuela. He graduated from Ross School of
Aviation in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has been flying for 15 years for PDVSA
Venezuelan Oil Company and is also employed with Phoenix A Group. He
moved to the United States in 2000 with his wife, Arely.
Pablo Torrealba
Owner
Born in Savannah, Georgia and raised in Venezuela, Pablo has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He currently works with the engineering and packaging division of the Barry -Wehmiller-Company. He provides and resolves customer needs for major companies in the U.S.A., Asia, Europe and South America. Pablo and his wife have two daughters currently enrolled at Legacy and are avid baseball fans.
Dawn Skinner
Director
My name is Dawn Skinner and I am the Center Director for Legacy Academy Satellite. I can proudly say that I just celebrated my 10 year anniversary as a Legacy Academy employee this past June. I started in June of 2001 at the Suwanee location as a Lead Senior Toddler Teacher. In October 2003 I helped open my current center, Satellite as the Assistant Director and within 8 months moved into the position of Director. I have worked in Early Childhood Education for 18 years and have loved every minute of it.Working with children is a joy that is unmatched by any other career that I could imagine. Children have such an innocent and honest view of the world and it is such a privilege and honor when parents entrust us with the care, growth and development of their precious little one. Being a mother of three children, I can completely understand and appreciate what a leap of faith it is for parents to leave their child and hope that the person caring for them has their child’s best interest at heart. I have always been committed to staffing my center with highly qualified individuals who are consistent and passionate about the job they do!
I am beyond proud of my diverse program. We have amazing owners, families, children and staff from all over the world and it makes for an environment that gives children a broad view of the world around them. My program is a full time bilingual immersion program and our families love it. It is so endearing to hear our Infant B children ask for “leche” instead of milk and say “mas” when they want more. I am always happy to tell people about Legacy Academy and I can do that proudly, as I know our programs are programs of distinction.
Besides working with many wonderful children in my program, I have three amazing children of my own. In my spare time I love decorating, cooking, painting and most of all spending time with my family!
Nayree Torrealba
Center Support
Born in Venezuela, Nayree holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Informatics Engineering. She began working at Legacy when they opened in October of 2003. Working with children has been one of the most beautiful experiences in her professional life. Watching the growth and development of the children along with her own children has been an irreplaceable experience.
Arely Orta
Spanish Coordinator
Arely is also from Caracas, Venezuela. She graduated from Andres Catholic University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She holds a Masters degree in Learning Process. Arely has 20 years of experience in early childhood education. She and her husband Hector moved to Georgia in 2000. She worked at the Atlanta International School for two years and now has developed a Spanish program to run parallel with the Legacy Framework for Their Future TM curriculum.Contact Information
